Company history: Phibro Animal Health was established in December 2000, following the acquisition of the medicated feed additive business of Pfizer Animal Health. A division of Phibro Animal Health Corporation, the company develops, manufactures and markets medicated feed additives as well as marketing animal health and nutrition products manufactured by other Phibro Animal Health Corporation subsidiaries.

Global headquarters and North American business offices are located in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey. Regional offices are established in Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Mexico, South Africa and Venezuela. Manufacturing facilities are located in Belgium and Brazil.

What are Medicated Feed Additives?: Medicated Feed Additives (MFA) are any pharmaceutical product that is added to the feedstuffs of pigs, poultry or cattle. The inclusion rate for these products is extremely small – measured in grams per ton of feed. They are unique in their ability to effectively deliver medication to a large number of animals. Antibiotics to prevent and treat bacterial diseases; ionophores and coccidiostats to control coccidiosis; and, anthelmentics to control intestinal parasites, are among the classes of medications found in medicated feed additives.
